Gender discrimination in advertising

I have put together a selection of advertisements that are targeted at a particular gender.

Colomares Castle.

I recently visited Colomares Castle in Benalmadena, Spain. Built to pay tribute to Christopher Columbus and the discovery of America by Esteban Martin and bricklayers from the nearby village Mijas, between 1987 and 1994.

The castle has many different architectural styles such as roman and gothic and is a beautiful tribute to Christopher Columbus.

The European Poster 1888-1938

In June I was lucky enough to visit The European Poster 1888-1938 exhibition at the Picasso Museum in Malaga.
The exhibition had a mix of both political and commercial posters. I'm a massive fan of the style of advertising from this period, the posters aren't just advertising, they are a works of art.

Adverts with double connotation

The brief Copy and Image asked us to look at the relationship between words and image. Looking at how one element effects the other and the interplay between them. The ads below could mean something completely different with out the words and image combined.

This ad was used on Shrove Tuesday as Pancakes is also a team used to describe someone
who is flat chested.
